County Shelter Has Plenty Of Cats, Kittens Ready For New Homes

MILLERSVILLE, MD — The Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control is bursting with cats and kittens right now. A phenomenon known as kitten season when the female has multiple pregnancies typically occurs spring into summer, which means there are plenty of kittens and young cats ready for adoption right now.

To help these fur babies find their furever home, the county shelter is offering free adoption of cats one year of age and older. Kittens one year and younger cost $14 to be adopted. All adoptions come with a spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and a county license. Adopters are asked to bring their own cat carrier.
