Fort Meade Employee Found Dead In Office: Army

ODENTON, MD — A civilian employee was found dead Monday at Fort George G. Meade, Army officials announced Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities have not yet released the man's name. They are waiting to notify the next of kin.

Officials said the man was found unresponsive in his office at Army Community Services on Monday afternoon.

The Directorate of Emergency Services responded and pronounced him dead, a press release said.

Military Police Investigation and the Criminal Investigation Division also responded to the scene. The Criminal Investigation Division is handling the investigation.
