Donald Alan Lambert, 61, of Gambrills passed away peacefully at his home on October 18, 2014.

Born on December 3, 1952 in Washington, DC, he attended St. Jerome’s Catholic School, Nicholas Orme Junior High and graduated from North Western High School. During the Vietnam War he was drafted to serve in the United States Army. He was a Union Carpenter.

He was a great son and brother and an amazing uncle. A genuine, kind hearted man with a laugh that was like no other! He had a great love for dogs, always had dog biscuits in his pocket everywhere he went. He loved to play pool, fish, hunt and ride his Harley. He was a Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed throwing the football around. He had a crazy sweet tooth!

Although he did not have children of his own, he spent lots of time with his two nieces and nephew when they were growing up. He took them on many great trips to the National Zoo, Washington Monument, the White House, many museums, Mt. Vernon and Kings Dominion.

He was predeceased by his father Edward C. Lambert Jr. He is survived by his mother Edith L. Lambert, his brothers David R. Lambert Sr. and Daniel E. Lambert, his nieces Amy M. Lambert and Angela L. Pomerleau and his nephew David R. Lambert Jr. He had three great-nephews Devin E. Lambert, Dylan G. Pomerleau and Brett M. Pomerleau.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, October 28 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road, Gambrills, MD. Graveside burial service will be on Tuesday, October 28 at 3 PM at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623.
