New Diner Opens In Anne Arundel County, Offers Breakfast All Day

GAMBRILLS, MD — A new diner named Eggspectation opened recently in Gambrills. The restaurant offers an all-day breakfast and a full bar from its location in The Village at Waugh Chapel.

Breakfast highlights include a lobster omelette, s'mores French toast and a banana split waffle. Customers can enjoy lunch and dinner favorites like crab cakes, burgers and flatbreads. The dessert menu features crepes, brownies and cheesecakes among other sweets.

Eggspectation filled the vacancy left by M&M Restaurant, which specialized in Middle Eastern cuisine.

The new diner updated the building with an industrial farmhouse style. Eggspectation painted the brick façade white. A comic book-style mural greets customers at the front door, and modern light fixtures run throughout.

The Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation cheered the latest addition to the shopping center.

"Congrats to another new business opening in Anne Arundel County," the organization said on Facebook before Eggspectation opened on May 12.

The chain has seven other U.S. locations. Two of those eateries are in Ellicott City and Owings Mills. Three more are in Virginia, another is in Delaware and a final is in Texas.

Eggspectation is opening a restaurant in Timonium soon.

The business also has sites in Canada, Egypt, Pakistan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

The Gambrills diner is located at 2402 Brandermill Boulevard. Its hours are

• Monday through Wednesday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Thursday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Sunday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
