GAMBRILLS, MD — A new farm-to-table restaurant opens next week in Gambrills.

The Farmhouse will host its grand opening Tuesday in the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre at 2383 Brandermill Blvd. The eatery replaces Smashing Grapes.

The Farmhouse features a covered outdoor dining area. There are also Adirondack chairs out front for waiting customers.

An herb garden outside will also provide the freshest basil, rosemary and oregano among other spices.

"Get ready to relax in our cozy lounge with an indoor fireplace, as well as a large outdoor patio," The Farmhouse said on Facebook. "With our 3 private dining rooms, we're also set to host your next private event. Can't wait to welcome you!"

The Farmhouse and Smashing Grapes are both owned by Crofton-based Titan Hospitality Group.

Titan closed the Gambrills Smashing Grapes in February and opted to rebrand the location.

Titan Hospitality additionally owns Blackwall Hitch in Eastport and Blackwall Barn & Lodge in Gambrills.

Smashing Grapes also closed its Annapolis location in July 2023. Titan replaced that venue with another rustic restaurant called The Lodge, which opened in November 2023.

On the other hand, Smashing Grapes still opened a Columbia location in the Merriweather District this May.

"The Farmhouse will provide the community with a renewed approach to dining, emphasizing the importance of supporting local farms and vendors that offer delicious and fresh ingredients," Titan CEO James King said in a February press release announcing the change. "We are excited to launch this new concept in our Gambrills location, while still keeping our Smashing Grapes concept fruitful in the Columbia region."
