GAMBRILLS, MD β€” Active volunteer Joshua Oh, 11, of Gambrills has been recognized as an Ellio's Phenomenal Kid due to his extensive volunteerism and could win a $10,000 scholarship for his efforts. Not only does he enjoy playing basketball and engaging in taekwondo, but he also plays the piano and violin.

"The most important thing to me is serving others," Oh said in a video he recorded for the contest.

He founded a nonprofit to pay off outstanding lunch accounts, collects school supplies, takes fresh grown vegetables to the local food pantry, packs backpacks with necessities for foster kids, collects candy and toiletries for the troops and coordinates a card drive for the troops.
