Janelle Hagerla Hall, 84, of Annapolis, Formerly of Millersville

Janelle Hagerla Hall, 84, a twenty-year resident of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis and formerly of Charles Road in Millersville, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at her home due to cancer.

Born on March 19, 1931 in Burlington, Iowa, Janelle graduated from Sperry High School of Sperry, Iowa in 1949, Towson State University in 1953 and from the University of Maryland with an advanced equivalency. She was an elementary school teacher and principal in the Anne Arundel County school system for most of her life.

She was an avid crafter who participated in many craft shows throughout the years. Janelle was a member of Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, the Women’s Club of Annapolis at Heritage Harbour and volunteered with the Heritage Harbour Health Group and the Heritage Harbour Boutique.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hall in 2012 and her siblings, Cecil, Bill and Melbourne Hagerla and Harriet Hightower.

She is survived by her sons, Howard B. Hall and his wife, Anne of Roanoke, VA and Mark Hall of Annapolis, MD and her grandson, Jeffrey Hall.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, August 16 at Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, 921 Generals Hwy. in Millersville.
