ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — It's primary election season in Maryland. Early voting runs from Thursday, July 7 through Thursday, July 14. Primary election day is Tuesday, July 19. Voters can also return their ballot by mail or place it in a dropbox.

Why are you seeking this office?

As a child of a military retiree, Naval Academy graduate, and former Marine Corps Officer, I understand the importance of service to country. I have served alongside medical professionals serving patients to extend and improve their quality of life. I have been a servant of our country and our community my whole life. I want to continue that service as the District 4 Councilman to ensure that all families have the opportunity to achieve their goals.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Education. I intend to work with the County Executive, Council and School System to ensure that the funding that has been put in place with the latest budget achieves the goals of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future at every level from Pre-K through 12.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

As a military child, Naval Academy graduate, Military Veteran, former private business owner, corporate business leader, MBA, medical professional, servant in the United Methodist Church and Person of Color, I will bring a diversity of thought, experience and background to County Council.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Transportation, Affordable Housing, Infrastructure (roads and zoning) and the Environment are issues that constituents continually mention on the campaign trail. I will look to address those once elected.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

My successful tenure as Marine Corps Logistics Officer, business person in both the private and corporate space, while also serving in various Finance and Treasurer roles at my Church for the past many years.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

To much is given much is expected! Give your best to everyone around you.

I am a current member of the Anne Arundel County Veterans Affairs Commission
