Maryland Black Bears Teams Up With MedStar Health

ODENTON, MD — Local hockey team Maryland Black Bears has named MedStar Health as its official sports medicine provider. The medical provider also will serve Team Maryland, the EHL affiliate.

MedStar Health will provide certified athletic training services during games and hold black and blue injury clinics for participants of affiliated programs. MedStar Health also will host on-site education seminars for staff, skaters, teams and families that will focus on concussion management and injury prevention.

MedStar Health has one of the leading sports medicine programs in the country and has partnerships with the Washington Capitals (NHL), Baltimore Ravens (NFL) and Baltimore Orioles (MLB). The new partnership also means that MedStar Health will sponsor two game nights on Nov. 2 and March 27, as well as a new activity during the second period of games.
