Maryland Terrapins College Football: Traffic, Tickets, TV, Parking and More

Greeting the team, what you can and can't bring into the stadium, kickoff time, beer sales and more for Maryland vs. Richmond on Saturday.

It’s hard to believe it, but college football season is back.

The Maryland Terrapins, picked by ESPN to challenge Indiana for the basement of the East division in the 14-school Big 10 conference, will kick off the season at noon Saturday against Richmond at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium.

Alcohol Sales

Maryland Craft and National Brand beers are available for purchase at stands and kiosks throughout the stadium. Anyone appearing to be under the age of 40 will be required to present a valid government issued photo ID for service. There is a limit of one beer per person per transaction. Beer sales stop at the end of the third quarter even if fans are still in line.

Radio Game Broadcast

All Maryland Sports Radio Network broadcasts can be heard on Maryland’s dedicated channel on TuneIN. TuneIN is free and available via mobile/tablet apps. Click here for a full lineup of channels and more information regarding radio broadcasts.

Parking

Fans are highly encouraged to purchase parking in advance. Advance parking is available online here. Parking is $17 per car and lots will open six hours prior to the game.

RV parking will be available in Lot 7, which is located across from US-1. The cost for RV’s will be $150 and the lot will open at 6 p.m. on Friday and close at 10am on Sunday.

Individuals requiring disabled parking may park in the north side of Stadium Drive Garage. Disabled patrons must display their valid disabled placards and/or tags to gain access to SDG and will be required to pay $17 at the entrance to the garage.

Gate Entrance Changes

The student entrance is now located at Gate D and E which are located on the north side of the stadium.

Taxi and Uber Information

Taxi, Uber and other transportation options are available at fan assistance, which is located behind section 13.

The New Terp Alley

The Maryland football team will arrive on campus 2 hours and 15 minutes prior to game time (about 9:45 a.m.) and walk through Terp Town to the stadium. Greet the team with the band and cheerleaders; meet at West Field House Drive just south of Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium.
