MARYLAND — Thunderstorms could hit Maryland on Friday, bringing the chance for hail and gusty winds. Forecasts say storms are most likely to hit midday and again Friday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook Friday for Cecil, Baltimore, Prince George's, Anne Arundel, Charles, St. Marys, Calvert, Montgomery, Howard and Harford counties.

The rain should pass by Saturday morning, but the wind may linger throughout Saturday. Highs will hover in the mid- to upper-80s throughout the weekend.

The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang said hazy skies in the Baltimore-DC region will be the result of smoke Saturday and Sunday, but forecasters don't believe it will create bad air quality as seen the previous week.

Another chance of storms returns later Monday. While the National Weather Service expects a mostly sunny day with a high in the upper 80s, a chance of showers is more likely after 9 p.m. The Capital Weather Gang won't rule out a chance of showers or thunderstorms later in the afternoon or evening, but the forecast will become more clear closer to Monday.
