New Airline Debuts At BWI Airport With Flights To Tropical Island

A new airline just debuted at BWI Airport. Marylanders can fly to a tropical island for $99.

LINTHICUM, MD — A new airline debuted Monday at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

BermudAir offers three weekly roundtrips to Bermuda, a tropical island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

“We are thrilled to welcome BermudAir and this premier service to the island paradise of Bermuda,” BWI Airport Executive Director and CEO Ricky Smith said in a January press release announcing the route. “BermudAir is growing quickly and creating new opportunities for tourism and economic development. Our customers will appreciate the airline’s quick and easy access to Bermuda’s natural beauty, culture, and history.”

The flights run Monday, Thursday and Saturday. The trip is about two hours and 15 minutes.

One-way tickets start at $99 plus fees. Tickets are available here.

“This expansion demonstrates our dedication to meeting our passengers’ needs and strategically enhancing our service offerings, based on continual market feedback and evaluation,” BermudAir Founder and CEO Adam Scott said in the release. “It’s a significant step that elevates BermudAir to new levels of service and reach.”

BermudAir, launched in September 2023. The airline also offers flights between Bermuda and Boston, New York Westchester, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.

The flight that arrived Monday at BWI Airport was the young airline's 1,000th voyage.

BermudAir got a water salute on the tarmac during its Monday debut.

The airline flies Embraer E175 aircraft.

Wiedefeld said in the release. “This new connection will unlock new cultural and economic opportunities for Bermudians and Marylanders alike. BWI Marshall and our partners are looking forward to offering increased access to tropical vacations directly from the Baltimore region.”
