Retired K-9 For Anne Arundel County Fire Department Dies

K-9 Kinder assisted numerous fire and arson investigators and police detectives all over Maryland, Anne Arundel County Firefighters said.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD β€” A retired K-9 that served the community for several years while working alongside the Anne Arundel County Fire Department has died.

"It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our retired accelerant detection K-9, Kinder," the fire department announced Monday via social media.

K-9 Kinder was 14 years old, according to the fire department. His cause of death was not released.

Kinder was the partner of Lt. Joe Clawson. The two both retired in 2014.

Prior to retirement, the fire department said that Kinder assisted numerous fire and arson investigators and police detectives all over Maryland.
