MILLERSVILLE, MD โ€” Several cases of the highly contagious and deadly parvovirus have been confirmed in Anne Arundel County, along with several rabies cases among wild animals and pets. Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control will be offering a free vaccination clinic for dogs only who need their second parvovirus dose on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

The vaccines will be given in the parking lot of the old Pioneer Pool at the corner of Arwell Court and Pioneer Drive. Dogs residing in Still Meadows, Spring Meadow and The Orchards are highly encouraged to take advantage of the free vaccines. Owners who came to the free clinic on Oct. 15 should take their dogs to this clinic to receive the second parvo vaccination that will strengthen their dogsโ€™ protection against this disease and be sure to bring the certificate received Oct. 15.

Animal control emphasizes that this clinic is for dogs only. All dogs should be on a leash and under control. Owner identification required for your petsโ€™ vaccination certificates. Animals from outside the area should not be brought to the clinic as it would increase their risk of exposure to the deadly parvo virus.
