Soldier Found Dead In Fort Meade Barracks: Army
A soldier died Wednesday in the Fort Meade barracks, the Army said. Authorities are investigating, but foul play isn't suspected.
ODENTON, MD — A soldier died Wednesday at Fort George G. Meade in Odenton, the U.S. Army said.
Officials haven't released the name of the deceased. They are still trying to contact the next of kin.
Authorities do not suspect any foul play or self-harm.

The Directorate of Emergency Services said it responded around 10:24 a.m. after a 911 call for an unresponsive person.
The service member was pronounced dead around 10:33 a.m. in the Freedom Barracks, the Army said.

The Military Police Investigation and the Criminal Investigation Division also responded to the scene.
The Criminal Investigation Division is handling the investigation.
