Storm Threat in Anne Arundel Tuesday Afternoon

Storms are expected to arrive in Anne Arundel County in the late afternoon, bringing the potential for strong winds and hail.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for parts of Maryland, including Anne Arundel County, for Tuesday afternoon and evening.

According to the Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast and possess the potential to develop into severe storms by the time they arrive.

“Damaging wind gusts and large hail are the primary threats,” the NWS warned residents in its weather outlook.

The forecast in Annapolis says there is a 30 percent chance of rain from 2-8 p.m.
