Trick-or-Treaters Invited To Anne Arundel Animal Shelter Pawty

Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control's fifth annual "Howl-O-Ween Paw-ty" will be Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — Make plans to attend a family-friendly Halloween party Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control. The shelter's fifth annual “Howl-O-Ween Paw-ty” will include a safe trick-or-treat trail throughout the event and a noontime children's costume parade and contest with prizes in several age categories.

Live music will be provided by The Big Band Theory of Baltimore, a non-profit jazz band. Throughout the party, there also will be face painting, children's games and education exhibits and pets available for adoption from both the shelter and some of its rescue group partners. The very popular “Candy with a Cop” event, during which Anne Arundel County Police Department officers distribute candy from the trucks of their vehicles, begins at 10 a.m. The Anne Arundel County Police Department will also be collecting Toys for Tots. The shelter is located at 411 Maxwell Frye Road in Millersville.
