ODENTON-SEVERN, MD β€” Many government services change their hours around holidays. Here is what's opened and closed in the Odenton-Severn area for Columbus Day and Indigenous People's Day, which are both on Monday, Oct. 10.

Schools: Anne Arundel County Public Schools and central offices will be open on Monday. The school calendar is available at this link.

Government Offices: Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis government offices will be open Monday. State government offices will be closed.

Courts: Courts will be closed Monday. Court hours are listed here.

In Annapolis, the Stanton Community Center and the Pip Moyer Recreation Center will be open Monday. The Stanton Community Center is also closed every Sunday. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center is open daily except on certain holidays, not including Indigenous People's Day.

The Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park is closed for the season. It will reopen in May 2023.

Libraries: The Anne Arundel County Public Library will be open Monday but closed Thursday for an unrelated staff meeting. A full list of library hours and contact information is posted here.

Post Offices: Post offices will be closed Sunday and Monday.

Trash And Recycling: All landfills and recycling centers will be open Monday. The county's curbside collection will continue as normal. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here.

City of Annapolis trash pickup will also continue on its normal schedule. Anybody with questions about the city's trash removal should contact Annapolis Public Works at (410) 263-7949.

Buses: Annapolis Transit and the Circulator will operate on their usual schedules this Monday. Visit this website for more details.
