What's Open, Closed In Odenton-Severn Area On Labor Day

ODENTON-SEVERN, MD — Many government services change their hours around holidays. Here is what's opened and closed in the Odenton-Severn area for Labor Day, which is on Monday, Sept. 5.

Schools: Anne Arundel County Public Schools and central offices will be closed on Monday. The school calendar is available at this link.

Government Offices: Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis government offices will be closed Monday.

Courts: Courts will be closed Monday. Court hours are listed here.

Parks: This interactive map shows the parks closest to you and their hours.

The Arundel Olympic Swim Center and the North Arundel Aquatic Center will be closed Monday. All senior activity centers will also be closed. The county will not serve Senior Nutrition Program lunch on Monday.

In Annapolis, the Pip Moyer Recreation Center, the Stanton Community Center and the Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park will all be closed Monday. The Stanton Community Center is also closed every Sunday. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center is open daily except on certain holidays. Hours vary for the Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park. Libraries: The Anne Arundel County Public Library will be closed Sunday and Monday. A full list of library hours and contact information is posted here.

Post Offices: Post offices will be closed Sunday and Monday.

Trash And Recycling: All landfills and recycling centers will be closed Monday. The county's curbside collection normally scheduled for Monday will occur Tuesday. Tuesday collection will happen Wednesday. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here.

City of Annapolis trash pickup will also push Monday collection to Tuesday. Tuesday collection will happen on Wednesday. There will not be any bulk metal collection on Wednesday. Anybody with questions about the city's trash removal should contact Annapolis Public Works at (410) 263-7949.
