What's Open, Closed In Odenton-Severn Area On Veterans Day

ODENTON-SEVERN, MD — Many government services change their hours around holidays. Here is what's opened and closed in the Odenton-Severn area for Veterans Day, which is on Friday, Nov. 11.

Schools: Anne Arundel County Public Schools and central offices will be open on Friday. The school calendar is available at this link.

Government Offices: State, Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis government offices will be closed Friday.

Courts: Courts will be closed Friday. Court hours are listed here.

In Annapolis, the Pip Moyer Recreation Center will be open Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Stanton Community Center will be closed Friday, and it is also closed every Sunday. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center is open daily except on certain holidays, not including Veterans Day.

The Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park is closed for the season. It will reopen in May 2023.

Libraries: The Anne Arundel County Public Library will be open Friday. A full list of library hours and contact information is posted here.

Post Offices: Post offices will be closed Friday.

Trash And Recycling: All landfills and recycling centers will be closed Friday. The county's curbside collection will continue as normal. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here.

City of Annapolis trash pickup will also continue on its normal schedule. Anybody with questions about the city's trash removal should contact Annapolis Public Works at (410) 263-7949.
