5 Minors, 1 Adult Arrested In Baltimore County Shopping Center Robberies: Police

Five minors and one adult were arrested after robberies near two Baltimore County shopping centers, police said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Five minors and one adult were arrested recently after robberies near Towson and Owings Mills shopping centers, police said.

Officers said they caught the suspects last week in a vehicle driving the wrong way down Pennsylvania Avenue in Towson.

Authorities said they seized a semi-automatic, 9-mm handgun and a 9-mm magazine that contained 14 rounds of ammunition.

“These investigations and subsequent arrests exemplify the outstanding police work that is occurring in communities across Baltimore County,” Baltimore County Police Chief Robert O. McCullough said in an Aug. 6 press release.

Officers said the robberies happened on Aug. 5.

Authorities said they were called around 8 p.m. to the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue for an armed robbery near the shopping center located in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road. That's where the Towson Town Center is located.

While investigating the Towson robbery, police said a previous robbery was reported in the 10200 block of Mill Run Circle. That's where Mill Station shopping center is located in Owings Mills.

Officers said they determined the same suspects were responsible for both robberies.

Four suspects were charged as adults and were being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center as of Aug. 6, authorities said.

Police said the charges include armed robbery, first-degree assault, theft and various handgun charges.

Officers said the suspects are a:

  • 14-year-old male
  • 16-year-old male
  • 18-year-old male
  • 17-year-old female
  • 17-year-old male
