Woman Hit by Car in Critical Condition: Police

Investigators are asking the public to help them find the driver of a car, possibly a Camry, that hit a woman and fled Wednesday night.

A woman crossing a new Carrollton street Wednesday night wasn’t in a crosswalk when she was hit be a driver who sped away, authorities say.

The Prince George’s County Police Department says the pedestrian suffered critical injuries.

About 7 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to the 8300 block of Annapolis Road, where they found the victim in the roadway. She was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities say it appears the striking car was eastbound on Annapolis Road when it struck the victim, who was crossing the street. The victim was not in a crosswalk at the time. The driver did not stop, police say.

The suspect’s car is described a dark-colored Toyota, possibly a Camry with front end damage.
