ChillQuiet Band is a contemporary quintet comprised of DC's finest up and coming jazz musicians. Co-led by trumpeter Josh Morris and Alto Saxophonist Anneke Scace, it's members have ties to top music programs across the country. They have played/studied with the likes of Sean Jones, Paul Carr, Elijah Balbed, Alex Hamburger, Philip Dizack, and more. Taking inspiration from the likes of Marquis Hill and Nicole Glover. The band is focused on both composing and reimagining standards in a more modern, laid back style.

Harmonica master Mark Wenner goes non-stop. As the founder/leader of the blues and roots rock band, The Nighthawks, he’s been kicking out great music for over 50 years. The Nighthawks have amassed a release collection of nearly 30 albums, and Wenner has released four solo projects. Now, he brings us Mark Wenner’s Blues Warriors.
“This band is actually a blues band,” says Wenner, addressing comparisons to the ‘Hawks. “The Nighthawks are a blues and roots-rock band. This band, with upright bass, is more authentic, old school and swinging. It’s closer to the <a href="https://www.americanbluesscene.com/cash-box-kings-sign-alligator-records/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Cash Box Kings</a> than <a href="https://www.americanbluesscene.com/j-geils-dead-71/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">J. Geils</a>; a whole different animal.”

Doug Deming is an American blues and roots guitarist/vocalist, born and raised in the Detroit area, currently residing on the Gulf coast of Florida. Doug is the 2013 recipient of the Blues Blast Music Awards' Sean Costello Rising Star Award. Drawing influence from greats like T-Bone Walker, Charlie Christian and Robert Jr. Lockwood, Doug's traditional taste and style are evident in his original music. Doug has four recordings of primarily original tunes to his credit, including his latest release, COMPLICATED MESS, on EllerSoul Records. Throughout his 20+ year career Doug has enjoyed touring and recording with many top blues artists, including Kim Wilson, Gary Primich, Lazy Lester, Alberta Adams, AC Reed and Johnny "Yard Dog" Jones to name a few; as well as with his own band featuring various artists such as Greg "Fingers" Taylor, Terry Hanck, Steve Guyger and Dennis Gruenling. Doug Deming &amp; the Jewel Tones play traditional blues, West Coast and Texas swing, and early 50's roots rock. This is real deal rockin' rhythm &amp; blues!

<a href="https://billstarksmusic.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Bill Starks</a> is an award winning songwriter and keyboard player with a rockin' piano style and a tendency to defy genres, blending rock n roll, honky tonk, boogie woogie and blues into a kind of Americana musical gumbo.
As a member of DC's longtime favorite Americana group Ruthie and the Wranglers, as well NRBQ tribute band Me &amp; the Boys, and a BandHouse Gigs regular, Bill is a favorite for DC audiences, with a lovable lived-in voice, amazing piano chops, and a distinctive songwriting style. His tune "300 Miles from Memphis To New Orleans" won WAMA's song-of-the-year award. In addition to recording with Ruthie and the Wranglers, Bill has released two solo CD's, "I See Trouble" and "Do You Hear Me Now?" on Azalea City Recordings. In 2015 Bill received the WAMA Songwriter of the Year award.

A fan aptly described <a href="https://www.grandsons.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">The Grandsons</a> exuberant sound as “American music in a blender with the lid off.” The more prominent elements in this eclectic whirlpool are New Orleans rhythm and blues, rockabilly, swing, and country two-steps. The Grandsons bring with them a pawn shop of instruments. Vocalist-guitarist-trumpeter Alan MacEwen charms audiences with his sly wit and winsome original songs. DC blues veteran Matthew Sedgley locks in the groove on drums and percussion. Saxophonist Chris Watling puts out a sound so meaty and memorable that he is in demand all over as a guest artist and session player. Moe Nelson holds down the low end on upright bass but has been known to break out the ukulele. Join The Grandsons as they move and shake into their 3rd decade in the world of rock and roll!
