14 Schools In Baltimore County Closed Due To Outages After Storm

Multiple sites run by Baltimore County Public Schools were affected by power outages, officials said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — More than a dozen schools are closed Wednesday due to power outages in Baltimore County. Two work sites managed by the school system are also closed Wednesday as a result of power outages.

The closures came after powerful storms Tuesday night knocked down trees and wires around the region.

More than 23,500 utility customers in Baltimore County are without power, BGE reported after 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

These schools are closed on Wednesday, July 13, according to Baltimore County Public Schools, as a result of Tuesday's storms:

  • Cockeysville Middle School
  • Carroll Manor Elementary School
  • Dulaney High School
  • Hampton Elementary School
  • Hereford Middle School
  • Jacksonville Elementary School
  • Pot Spring Elementary School
  • Prettyboy Elementary School
  • Riderwood Elementary School
  • Summit Park Elementary School
  • Pine Grove Elementary School
  • Pine Grove Middle School
  • Sparks Elementary School
  • Fifth District Elementary School

The Cockeysville bus lot and Cockeysville grounds shop are also closed due to outages.
