Arlington Man Charged With Assault In Medford
John Carvalho, 31, was found with a knife after he was sought for questioning in an assault with a dangerous weapon, police said.
ARLINGTON, MA — An Arlington man was arrested Monday night and charged in connection with an assault in Medford. John Carvalho, 31, was stopped around 9:25 p.m. and held for questioning after Medford police issued a BOLO alert for his white Dodge Charger in connection with an assault with a dangerous weapon, police said.
Officers searched Carvalho's car and found a folding pocket knife in a handbag, police said. He was arrested and transferred to Medford, where he faces a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon – knife.
Police did not identify the victim of the assault.
