North Attleboro High School, celebrated their 136th Graduation!

Over 300 students celebrated their 2024 Graduation under a beautiful sunny sky on Friday night!

North Attleboro High School, celebrated their One Hundred and Thirty Sixth Graduation Exercises for the Class of 2024 on June 7 at Beaupre Field at the High School.

Celebrating 300 graduates with enough pop and circumstance to fill the football field with dignitaries and School Officials and a sea of proud parents and family and friends all cheering its graduates.

Members of the School Committee, along with the Town Council President Justin Pare’, Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Antonucci, Assistant Superintendent of Schools Ms. Michelle McKeon, Noth Attleborough High School Administration, Mr. Peter Haviland, Principal, - Ms. Lisa Giuliano, Assistant Principal - Mr. Thomas Rizzo, Assistant Principal - Dr. Nick Schlierf, Director of Athletics.

Class Advisors: Ms. Alexandra Salisbury and Ms. Rebecca Mitchell
Ushers and Pages were from the Members of the Honor Society, Class Officers and Members of the Student Council.

THE NORTHERN LIGHT YEARBOOK DEDICATION - Campus Supervisor- Peter Sheridan plus Videos were projected on the jumbo tron for all participants and guests could experience and see their graduates up close. That was Directed by NORTH TV along with a senior graduate SENIOR SLIDESHOW Produced by Andrew Porter.

The event commenced with the yearly Processional around the field track to thunderous applause from the bleachers to their designated seats to “ Pomp and Circumstance “, performed by the North Attleboro High School Concert Band. The Master of Ceremonies Madeline Bonneau and Carson Crump welcomed the guests and graduates and introduced The North Attenborough High School Vocalist in performing the National Anthem.

The Welcome Speech by the Class President Jaylan Olmez. Essay with Salutatorian by Matthew Garofalo, Essay with Valedictorian by Vivian Racine, then a selection from the band “Havana Nights”.

The Presentation of the 2024 Class Gift by Max O’Malley Class Treasurer and followed by the Class Moto - Connor Peterson, Class Secretary,( “TODAY IS WHERE YOUR BOOK BEGINS THE REST IS STILL UNWRITTEN “.

Besides the Superintendent's remarks and Principal's remarks came Chours Selections then Military Recognition Mr. Thomas Rizzo.

Then came the moment we all were waiting for, to see our loved ones Receive their coveted High School Diplomas! The Presentations of Diplomas were given while each student's names were called and walked up to the Podum to be handed by Dr. John Antonucci, Mr. Peter Haviland, and Ms. Tasha Buzzell! Each student proudly walked up, handed their diplomas, shook hands walked off the podium to have their photos with diplomas in hand, and back to their seats.

Once each of the graduates was seated and closing remarks were made by Mr. Thomas Rizzo, the Acceptance and Presentation of the CLASS OF 2024 TASSEL CEREMONY.

And finally, the “Recessional”, with cheers and screams and proud parents clapping to acknowledge their 2024 Graduates! You could see the guests heading on the field to reach their graduates to hugs, tears, laughter, and more. The photos were never-ending the bouquets meant for the graduates handed and jubilation felt everywhere.

I too was proud to witness this Milestone event that brought us to tears and bears hugs, cause I witnessed one of my own family receive his well-deserved diploma surrounded by his parents, aunts, and cousins!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ANDREW WILLIAM YOUNG! We are all Proud of you and all of your 2024 CLASSMATES. To Change the World!
