Suspect Leads Police on Slow-Speed Chase

Even two sets of spike strips didn't stop the suspect, who finally pulled over in Middleboro.

Massachusetts State Police are seeking charges against a suspect after a lengthy, low-speed chase during which the suspect drove over two sets of spike strips and kept running from police on flat tires.

The pursuit began on Route 6 in Dennis Thursday afternoon, continuing onto Route 25 and Interstate 495 before the driver finally stopped in Middleboro, where he was taken into custody. Police were chasing the man after he allegedly threatened to hurt others and was reportedly armed.

Police have so far declined to identify the suspect, describing him only as a middle aged man. He was reportedly brought to Morton Hospital in Taunton for evaluation. Police indicated they are pursuing charges against him, but have not yet said what those charges would be.
