BEDFORD, MA — Bedford has free COVID-19 tests scheduled for January and there are two clinics left for the month.

The free COVID-19 tests will be PCR tests using a nasal swab. Results could take between 24-48 hours and will be reported to the Bedford Health Department. If you test negative, you'll get an automated message to your email.

The testing clinics will take place at the rear of 12 Mudge Way, the town center building. The clinics are run by the Bedford Fire Department, Pro EMS, and the Broad Institute.

The clinics are free to any Bedford residents who are ages four or older. You don't have to be symptomatic to get tested, all are welcome.

Residents can register for an appointment online. There are a limited number of tests offered each day, so registration is first come, first served until capacity is reached. Registration is through your email, so town officials urge you to keep an eye out for two emails after registering: 1) a confirmation of your appointment; and 2) an email with a password that directs you to complete the registration form.
