“The professionalism, love of community and dedication that Officer Isnor displayed during his more than three decades of service to the Town of Bedford was a testament to his love of police work and the Bedford Police Department,” said Chief Bongiorno. “Officer Isnor set a tremendous example that showed the importance of a strong bonds between officers, and strong bonds between police and the community they serve.”

Officer Isnor was a perennial participant in the Bedford Police Recreation Basketball League, and earned numerous citations for his work in the league that builds relationships between high school students and police officers.

He was most recently commended by the department for collaborating with colleagues to help locate a missing elderly man with dementia in 2018, and for working with colleagues to investigate and apprehend two suspects involved in an organized criminal effort to make fraudulent withdrawals from ATMs throughout the Northeast.

“Those of us who worked with Officer Isnor were lucky to learn from his example. We were safer because of his constant readiness to back up his colleagues, and we were healthier because his great sense of humor helped maintain a positive atmosphere in the police station,” said Chief Bongiorno. “We will miss Officer Isnor, but the example that he set will continue to be a part of both the Bedford Police Department and the Bedford community.”
