An April 18 survey of Massachusetts prices by the AAA finds a self-serve, regular unleaded fill-up averages $2.08 per gallon, eight cents higher than last week. That's still three cents below the national average, AAA Northeast said. Elsewhere in the country, you're looking at an average $2.11 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

It looks rosier still when compared to this time last year, when the average price for the same fill-up ran Bay Staters $2.46 per gallon.
