NH Weather: -25 Wind Chill; Snow Incoming

New Hampshire's latest weather forecast: life-threatening cold temperatures all week and more snow near New Year's.

You don't need us to tell you it's cold outside. A blast of arctic cold has the region in its grip, and it's not going to let go any time soon, forecasters say. But what you might not know about yet is the one final snowstorm trying to sneak in before the end of 2017.

AccuWeather writes New England "stands the best chance at being hit with several inches of snow from later Saturday to Saturday night." New Year's Eve is Sunday night.

Two storms could link up right over the Boston area, which would be bad news for would-be partiers. If the storms meet far enough off the coast, then there would be significantly less snowfall. So far this month, the opportunities for significant snowfall haven't disappointed.

"If the storms converge quickly, near the New Jersey or Delaware coasts, then accumulating snow would be thrown across both the mid-Atlantic and New England," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Kristina Pydynowski said.

About that cold we don't need to tell you about ... well, listen up. The National Weather Service is putting a wind chill advisory in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday to noon Thursday. The wind chills could fall as low as 20 degrees below zero, the NWS said.

Frostbite can be had in as little as 30 minutes spent outside. The NWS - and common sense - implores you to stay warm, and cover up if you need to go outside.
