Registration opens on Friday, February 5th at 9am, and there will be two ways to register at that time:

  • Bedford residents who are age 75+
  • Bedford residents in Phase 1 priority groups:

    • Long term care facilities, rest homes and assisted living facilities
    • First responders
    • Congregate care settings
    • Home-based health care workers
    • Health care workers doing non-COVID-facing care

For further details on eligibility, please navigate to https://www.mass.gov/covid-19-vaccine.

Clinic Schedule

While our supply of vaccine over the next several weeks will be limited, it is slated to be steady; as such we intend to follow the same weekly clinic and registration schedule through early March as detailed in the following table:

Should vaccine distribution be halted or curtailed, clinics will be canceled/postponed and appointments will not be accepted. We will only open clinic registrations once we are in receipt of vaccine for that particular clinic.

To get vaccinated at one of the posted clinics, you will need to confirm that you are part of a currently eligible group within the current distribution Phase(s). This is called “attesting.” Residents age 75+ will be asked to show ID, and other eligible residents (those eligible in Phase 1) will be asked to complete an attestation form. Attesting occurs at the time of registration. The Bedford Health Department may require additional information to ensure attestations are accurate and can be verified.

Clinic Cancelations

Should we need to cancel a clinic after appointments are made, either due to a vaccine distribution issue or inclement weather, we will make all attempts to contact you via the email/phone number you provide when you register. Additionally, we will post messages to the Health Department (www.bedfordma.gov/health) and Town (www.bedfordma.gov) websites and Town Facebook and Twitter pages. You are also strongly encouraged to call the Bedford COVID-19 Vaccine Line at 781-918-4077 should you have any questions about the clinic being canceled.

Appointments for Second Doses

The COVID Vaccine distributed by the Bedford Health Department is currently the Moderna vaccine which requires 2 doses about 28 days apart. Click here for information on the Moderna vaccine: https://www.modernatx.com/covid19vaccine-eua/eua-fact-sheet-recipients.pdf. Once you receive your first dose of vaccine, a second dose will be reserved for you. You will receive information about your appointment for your second dose at the clinic when you receive your first dose.

Due to the limited supply of vaccine provided to the Bedford Health Department, vaccination appointments will only be open to those eligible Bedford residents. At this time, we will cancel appointments for anyone who books an appointment who is not a Bedford resident.

Additional Information for attending the Clinic

  • Do not attend the clinic if you are experiencing COVID like symptoms or if you have been instructed to isolate and/or quarantine by a public health authority;
  • If you are sick or unable to make your appointment for any reason, please cancel your appointment – either via the confirmation email or phone;
