Deal Would Pave Way For 62 Waterfront Condos In Beverly

Efforts to build on the Ventron site have been stalled, but a new deal may change that.

BEVERLY, MA -- The owner of the Ventron site on Beverly's waterfront agreed to sell then property to a developer who would move forward with a plan to build 62 apartments or condominiums. "I think we have an excellent buyer," current owner Dennis Pantano told the Salem News, which first reported this story. Pantano said he could not disclose the buyer until the deal was finalized.

Plans to build housing on the site have been discussed since at least 2007. The property is on the Danvers River off of Congress Street near the Salem-Beverly bridge.
