BOSTON, MA — The saga of gymnast Aly Raisman's missing dog, Mylo, has come to a happy end.

On Friday evening, Raisman tweeted that two Good Samaritans named Carla and Gayle found and returned Mylo. The Olympic gold medalist was watching a fireworks show in Boston on July 3 when Mylo bolted.

"Mylo was terrified of fireworks and ran off. He has a tag on and a leash. Please let me know if you see him," Raisman posted on Instagram earlier this week.

The days around July 4 are often tough for dogs and their owners. Many dogs run away under the barrage of often illegal fireworks. Like many dog owners in the state, Raisman got help finding Mylo from Missing Dogs in Massachusetts.

Raisman, 27, is a Needham native and one of the most accomplished gymnasts in history. She gained international fame as part of the 'Fierce Five' and 'Final Five' teams in the 2012 and 2016 Games.
