BOSTON — Andrea Bocelli canceled his show at TD Garden Wednesday night minutes before he was set to perform due to health challenges, the venue confirmed on X.

"This was not an easy decision to make, Andrea never wants to disappoint his fans and wishes to thank everyone for their ongoing support," TD Garden said.

Those set to attend were told to retain their tickets for a new date soon to be announced.

Bocelli, a multi-Grammy Award winner and one of classical music's bestselling living artists, is known for his ability to seamlessly weave together opera and pop music styles, selling more than 70 million records worldwide.

"The World's Most Beloved Tenor" had recently been playing shows in the northeastern United States, with plans to move into Florida later this month and perform international shows beginning shortly after the new year.

His next show is set for 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
