Colby Davis of Boston, creating pendants, necklaces and other fine jewelry inspired by moments of everyday life, is launching a new monthly charitable initiative to benefit local and national charities.

‘Pendants with a Purpose’ is a new campaign launching on October 1, 2023, where customers will be able to purchase a specialized pendant each month to benefit a non-profit organization. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the campaign is kicking off with a pendant designed to support Casa Myrna, Boston’s largest provider of shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence, providing safety, resources, advocacy and information.

During the month of October, 20% from the sale of the Love in Bloom Medium Rose Sterling Silver Pendant will be donated to Casa Myrna. For the first time, this beautiful pendant will be available in purple, the color for domestic violence awareness. It is also available in French blue, gray, light blue, oxidized silver, and white. The back of the pendant features a powerful inscription that reads: “I wasn’t built to break.”

“We are very excited to launch the Pendants with a Purpose charitable initiative,” said Lia Lombara, primary jewelry designer at Colby Davis of Boston. “We look forward to raising as much money as possible for Casa Myrna to support the great work they do during the month of October and to assist other worthy charities in future months.”

“Since 1977, Casa Myrna has been at the forefront of supporting survivors impacted by domestic violence through our residential and community-based programs. We serve more than 2,200 survivors annually, and all our supports are provided at no charge thanks to the generosity of many individuals, corporations, foundations, businesses and government sources,” said Stephanie Brown, Casa Myrna CEO. “We greatly appreciate that Colby Davis of Boston recognizes domestic violence as an important issue and is helping to both raise awareness of it and financially support Casa Myrna through their new Pendants with a Purpose campaign,” added Brown.
