Dive Into A Sprinkle Pool At The Museum Of Ice Cream Coming To Boston

According to Boston25​, the new location, set to open at 121 Seaport Boulevard, will also feature a Fenway Park-inspired carnival.

BOSTON, MA — Get ready to get reacquainted with your inner child and enjoy unlimited sweet treats—the world-famous Museum of Ice Cream is opening a permanent location in Boston's Seaport in 2024!

The museum, which already has locations in New York City, Chicago, Austin, Singapore, and Miami, teased its Instagram followers about its plans to open in a mystery location with clues leading up to the big reveal Monday.

In each of its locations, the Museum of Ice Cream's sweet offerings currently include unlimited ice cream treats in five different shapes and forms, activities hosted by guides, the opportunity to learn about ice cream and its history across 12 multisensory installations, and—perhaps most famously—a large sprinkle pool.

The new location, set to open at 121 Seaport Boulevard, will also feature a Fenway Park-inspired carnival, "Mary-E’s Diner, a retro-futurism-inspired hub and gathering place for ice cream-themed drinks and food that overlooks the marina," and "The Hall of Freezers: An exploratory space filled with dozens of mysterious refrigerator doors that are sure to pique curiosity," according to Boston25.

"We are thrilled to join the Boston community when we open a permanent location at the Seaport next year," Museum of Ice Cream Co-Founder and CEO Maryellis Bunn told the outlet in a statement. "While our goal is to expand Museum of Ice Cream to new cities, we ensure that every city has a bold personality and bright energy that matches ours ... We loved getting to dive into Boston’s rich history and stunning architecture to pull inspiration for our immersive exhibits, which we can’t wait to share with locals and visitors from around the world."

Though the cost of admission varies depending on the day and location, it ranges from $21-$42 in the museum's current cities. Children aged two and under are always welcome to enter for free.
