Faneuil Hall Christmas Tree Lighting Returns In 2022

The Tuesday ceremony will feature local elected officials, live music and local celebrities.

BOSTON, MA — The first Christmas tree lighting ceremony in several years will take place at Faneuil Hall Tuesday evening, featuring local elected officials, live music, local celebrities and lots of shopping.

Faneuil Hall will host a Christmas tree lighting ceremony for the first time since 2019. Faneuil Hall Marketplace Assistant General Manager Jenny Morse will open the ceremony at 6 p.m. Geroge Maherakis, president of the Faneuil Hall Marketplace Merchant’s Association, and City Council President Ed Flynn are also expected to speak. Christmas music will be played from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and members of the North End Music and performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) will be performing at 5:40 PM.
