Firefighters Get Grilled: Comedy Contest Benefits Charity

Six New England firefighters team up with comedians for a laugh-off to benefit Firefighters Vs Cancer at America's Funniest Firefighter

Boston's bravest will battle it out for laughs at America's Funniest Firefighter New England Region Finals, a special event to benefit Firefighters vs. cancer. The competition will see six firefighters from departments across the region team up with seasoned New England comedians to create and perform a five-minute stand-up routine. All proceeds from the event will go towards Firefighters Vs Cancer, a non-profit that provides free cancer screenings for firefighters.

Legendary Boston comedian Tony V will host the competition, which takes place on May 17th, 2024 at Florian Hall in Dorchester. A panel of celebrity judges will pick the winner, who will walk away with a $5,000 grand prize and the title of New England's Funniest Firefighter.
