'Little Leprechauns': NICU Babies Dressed For St. Patrick's Day At Mass General: Photos

The babies in intensive care at Mass General are celebrating St. Patrick, while infants at Brigham and Women's are showing Celtics pride.

BOSTON, MA — St. Patrick's Day is such a big holiday in Boston, even the babies being cared for in the Mass General neonatal intensive care unit are celebrating.

Mass General for Children is sharing photos of the wee babies as the big day approaches Sunday, which is also when the South Boston parade will be held this year.

"These little leprechauns in the Mass General for Children (NICU) are bringing friendship, loyalty and a lot of love to their families, friends, and staff on St. Patrick’s Day. With precious gifts like these, who needs a pot o’ gold?" the hospital said in a news release.

Not to be outdone, the babies at the Brigham and Women's Hospital NICU got dressed up in Celtics gear, courtesy of the nonprofit Project Sweet Peas.

"From the Brigham NICU to TD Garden, we're bringing the Celtics spirit to St. Patrick's Day! Pint-sized future players, big dreams!" the hospital said in a news release.
