SALEM, MA — Families in the market for a big dose of puppy love could find it with Meg — this week's Patch Shelter Spotlight.

Meg is a 13-week-old Bluetick Hound mix that recently came up from a southern shelter with her sister. The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals describes her as a "sweet and social puppy" and said that the siblings have been "very snuggly since they got here."

"Meg has been through a lot of transitions in her short life and is looking for a family who can teach her about the world in a safe and fun way," the MSCPA said. "This little cutie pie still has lots of puppy basics to learn and will need a patient home to show her the ropes. We think Meg could likely do well with another social dog and kids."

Meg's most recent weight is 15.5 pounds and she is available at the Boston Adoption Center with no appointment needed to talk with a staff person about available dogs. The Boston Adoption Center's hours are Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. at 350 South Huntington Avenue in Jamaica Plain.

Interested adopters will work with staff to determine which dogs they are interested in meeting and if a match is identified potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel.
