More Than 220 Boston Logan Airport Flights Canceled

FlightAware is reporting 117 flights originating at Logan Airport canceled Tuesday, and 105 flights destined for Logan Airport canceled.

BOSTON, MA — More than 220 flights out of or to Boston's Logan Airport are canceled and another 45 are delayed Tuesday as many parts of the northeast are being pummeled with snow, according to flight tracking website FlightAware.

As of just before 1 p.m., FlightAware is reporting 117 flights originating at Logan Airport canceled, and 105 flights destined for Logan Airport canceled. That's 27 and 23 percent of all flights, respectively.

A handful of major airports across the country are reporting a significant number of cancellations and delays because of the weather Tuesday. Though Logan Airport is reporting the highest number of cancellations, LaGuardia tops the list in terms of traveler's "misery" as 52 percent of its outbound flights are canceled.

John F. Kennedy International Airport fared slightly better, but still has 47 percent of its outbound flights canceled, data shows.

There are a total of 1,491 delays within, into, or out of the United States so far today, and 1,183 total cancelations, according to FlightAware.
