Windy Start To The Week, But MA Will Feel Like Summer This Weekend

With high winds and a hefty pollen count, the beginning of the week will certainly feel like spring, but that should all change by Thursday.

It could reach 80 degrees in Massachusetts by the weekend, according to the NWS.

BOSTON — Strong winds across the coast of Massachusetts will have you wanting to add an extra layer before walking out the door on Monday and Tuesday.

With wind gusts ranging from 25 to 40 mph, the National Weather Service says you'll feel windblown, but not to worry as they aren't damaging winds. They do however bring high pollen counts and raise the chance of brush fires across the Bay State.

It'll be cooler on Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the 50s that feel like it's really in the 40s.

May 9 has shown to be a particularly peculiar day for weather in the past, with a historically-late snowstorm in 1977, a tornado hitting Stoughton in 2013, and late-season snow in 2020.

By Wednesday the winds finally die down and Thursday will spark a warmup.
