BROOKLINE, MA — As plans for 4th of July celebrations ramp up, trips to the grocery stores in and around Brookline are already being made. Stop & Shop and Whole Foods are among the places nearby that will be open on Independence Day.

But it’s almost inevitable that a supply of condiments, hot dogs, potato chips and other 4th of July classics will be forgotten on the day. Luckily for last-minute shoppers, the majority of grocery stores will still be open to help out.

Here are the grocery stores that will be open on the Fourth of July nearby, along with a couple that won’t.

What’s Closed:

Costco: All Costco locations are closed on July 4.

Trader Joe’s: All stores will be closed on July 4.

What’s Open:

ALDI: ALDI will be open, but will have limited holiday hours for the day. You’ll want to check with your local store.

BJ’s: BJ’s will remain open, but check with your local store for possible adjusted hours.

Roche Bros.: Open regular hours.

Shaw's & Star Market: Nearby locations in Chestnut Hill and Washington Square are open regular hours on July 4.

Stop & Shop: Stop & Shop will be open during regular hours.

Wegmans: Open regular hours on July 4.

Whole Foods: Open normal hours, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m
