Car Stuck On Brookline Green Line Tracks Prompts Delays

BROOKLINE, MA — A car stuck on tracks in Brookline delayed Green Line C Branch service Sunday evening around Dean Road, according to MBTA officials.

MBTA Transit Police shared a photo of the incident, showing a car that came to a stop across the tracks around 5:30 p.m.

Police said the car’s driver told them her car got stuck after she accidentally turned onto the tracks.

Police said the incident delayed Green Line service in both directions for roughly 40 minutes before the car was towed.

The T separately announced the disruption with a service alert Sunday evening, saying shuttle buses were being dispatched between Cleveland Circle and Coolidge Corner stations while trains were stopped.
