BROOKLINE, MA — Livite, a juice bar and food counter with health-conscious and vegan offerings in Washington Square is prepping to add a dine-in option, and some new menu items.

The tiny walk in and out over the counter restaurant is set to expand into what was the Instant Shoe Repair next door. The plan is to add 14 indoor seats and eight outside.

The restaurant got the green light back in April, but has yet to finish construction details. But the plan is to open the expanded space sometime in the fall, said Steve Nagle who owns the restaurant with his wife Laura, a registered dietician.

"Basically, we are still working out what we're exactly going to do," he said of the expansion. "During the whole time we were closed, the neighborhood in Washington Square was so super supportive of us."

That's why they decided to expand. "We realized this is the place to be," he said.

Nagle said customers should keep an eye out for ice cream, including vegan options.

"We just keep adding more and more vegan items cause our customers keep asking for it," he said.
