Shooting In Downtown Burlington Park Sends Woman To Hospital: Report

Police were called to City Hall Park around 4 a.m. Monday, according to a report.

BURLINGTON, VT — A woman was hospitalized Monday morning after she was shot at a park in downtown Burlington, according to a report.

Police were called to City Hall Park around 4 a.m. Monday, NBC 5 reported. Acting Burlington Police Chief Jon Murad told the station it appeared as though multiple groups of people were exchanging gunfire at the park.

The shooting prompted police to cordon off roughly a third of City Hall and part of College Street as they investigated.
