CAMBRIDGE, MA — An off-duty Cambridge police officer was arrested this morning after he crashed into three motorcyclists while driving under the influence of alcohol, according to Cambridge police.

Michael Daniliuk, 57, of Cambridge, hit the three motorcyclists early Monday morning near the intersection of Broadway and Columbia Street, according to the department. The motorcyclists were stopped at a red light, and two of them were taken to a local hospital for their injuries.

Daniliuk, who is a 24-year veteran and youth resources officer, was also taken to the hospital, although police said there were "no apparent major injuries" as a result of the crash. Daniliuk was later arrested and charged with OUI-alcohol and failure to stop at a red light.
