Step into the world of Chinese Brush Painting this July at City Winery Boston, where the exquisite works of Concord educator and painter Tasha Bonfanti Balsom will grace our gallery space. Tasha, also known as Chiun Yu (春玉 Spring Jade), learned this ancient art form from master Chin Sei Yu and has since dedicated herself to capturing the beauty of individual plants and animals.

Using traditional materials such as rice and mulberry paper, Chinese ink, and sable and horsehair brushes, Tasha infuses each painting with meticulous attention to detail. Her artistic journey has been celebrated across New England, with exhibitions at prestigious venues including Goddard College, Club Passim, and Cary Memorial Library.
