Franics Stillman: Lifelong Charlestown Resident, CHS Grad

Services will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Charlestown.

Francis P. “Frankie” Stillman, 47, of Charlestown, passed away on Friday, Oct. 3, according to an obituary posted to the Carr Funeral Home website.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 9 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. in Charlestown, followed by a funeral mass at St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The following is an excerpt from his obituary:

Frankie was born in Boston on June 17, 1967, a son of Maureen (Considine) Stillman and Francis C. “Frank” Stillman. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Catherine’s Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1985. Frankie worked for over seven years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Conservation & Recreation division as a zamboni driver at the Charlestown, North End and Somerville skating rinks. He also worked several years for the City of Boston in the Transportation Department. In 1996, Frank accomplished a longtime dream and was elected Mayor of Charlestown by the Charlestown people.
